WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE BECOME A SCAMMER VICTIM?

If you believe you have become a victim of phone scammers you can report scam to law enforcement. The mobile communication provider will not be held liable for acts of scammers and is not authorized to fulfill law enforcement responsibilities of holding persons guilty of offences against subscribers liable.

DEAR SUBSCRIBERS! Beware OF scammer tricks!

Recommendations for subscribers:

  • Verify any information received from people you do not know who call themselves your family members or friends and require swift actions such as money transfer, bank card top-up or sending SMS to short codes

  • Before you join any promo or prize draw call our company’s helpdesk service and ask if any such promo/draw is actually underway and what is the call/SMS fee

  • Do not rush to click the link received from an unknown number to view any information or listen to a voice message, etc.

  • Before installing unknown/unverified apps on your phone, read their descriptions. Those may be viruses capable of sending SMS or making calls on their own.

  • To see if apps are capable of sending SMS on their own and restrict their sending SMS without your consent, do the following:

a) if you have an Android device (Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony Ericsson Xperia, Alcatel), enter Settings -> Apps -> App management. You will see the list of all apps installed on your phone. Enter each one in the list and read descriptions. The SMS Sending Option is ticked in descriptions of those capable of sending SMS on their own.

b) if you have Symbian OS device (Nokia C, E, N), enter Parameters – Apps manager – Installed apps. You will see the list of all apps installed on the phone. You can select all apps and restrict using SMS as follows: Features – App parameters – SMS use - Restrict.

Be careful! Do not send SMS to remove viruses from your computer or renew software licenses as no such scheme has been implemented so far.

We recommend only approaching official/verified service centers for device repairs and maintenance. Eject the SIM card when giving your device to third persons for repairs, etc.

Furthermore, the Company does not conduct promos involving secret card code disclosure nor does it perform any technical works with involvement of subscribers including those requiring to enter and send any information from phone, make phone calls or change passwords.
