Important to know: O! never requests codes and never extends contracts by the phone

Keep your data safe and be careful.

The O! Mobile Operator draws its customers’ attention to the growing number of phone scam cases. Scammers call users, introduce themselves as the company employees and offer “to extend the number contract by 1 or 10 years”.

 

Official notice by O!

 

·       the operator never extends contracts and numbers by the phone;

·       the operator never requests SMS codes from its customers.

 

Only customer may keep the number

 

The phone number will expire if not used for a long time, in particular, if its account is not topped up for 180 days, no calls are made, no SMS is sent and internet connection is inactive.

 

There are two ways the customer can keep the number without assistance while traveling abroad:

 

1.       Regularly top up the account and make calls, send SMS or use data including when in roaming;

2.       Or through the plan “Save the Number”, by only topping up the account by 150 soms once in 90 days.

 

The O! Mobile Operator recommends its customers to stay vigilant:

 

·       DO NOT share SMS codes to other persons,

·       DO NOT validate actions you never initiated.
